Jeremy Sinkus has been working with glass since 1998, but not as his first art medium. Metals and stone were the main passions Jeremy followed until he found borosilicate glass. Jeremy is an avid mineral collector and miner. He has dug and sold minerals all over the country, and has now incorporated this passion into his glass. Having spent a lot of his time on mountains and on the ocean, you can see the influence of opals and jaspers in his coloring, along with aquatic themes.Jeremy is primarily self taught, which has given him the ability to develop a unique style. Because there is no use of any molds, every piece is an one of a kind. Made of borosilicate glass, (the same glass used in cookware and scientific applications such as beakers and test tubes) making the pieces durable and able to last for generations. Jeremy has been featured on HGTV's show "That's Clever" demonstrating how he makes a Glass Turtle Paperweight. |
